Audrey (Due 9-9-2009)
It has been FUN to be pregnant with 2 other girls in our Couple's Bible Study!! Saturday was Elizabeth's Shower. They aren't finding out if they are having a boy or girl- it will remain a mystery until late July!! They did a lot of cute things at the shower:
*really good raspberry/mint punch served in Mason jar's with a bow around them
* A little candy station as you left--guests filled up a cute bag with a variety of candy
*It was a brunch--so there was all kinds of good food: a yogurt station--you could top it with granola, raspberries, strawberries, chocolate chips..etc.. and they made a delicious quiche too
*Monkey Bread---YUM--when's the last time you had monkey bread??

Happy Mother's Day Mom and Mrs. Crim!!! It is so crazy to look at these pictures of our Moms just starting out with us--and to think that we will just be starting out with our own soon!!! WOW!! We are so thankful for our Moms and glad we got to be with them to celebrate on Sunday!!

Mom and Me!!! Mom came up on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day-- we hung out at the lake, walked Hank, and went out for Mexican. Since she makes the best pies ever--(especially apple)--we got her an "apple corer/slicer/peeler"-- Have you ever seen one of these??? They are so neat and save so much time-- I saw it at a friend's house and had to get my mom one--

****CHILD BIRTH CLASS****-- It is so much FUN to have 2 of the other couples in our Bible Study pregnant at the same time as us. Elizabeth & Austin are due on July 27th and Audrey & Ben are due 9-9-09. Elizabeth's Mom is a nurse that teaches Child Birth Classes--so, it has been such a blessing to have her teach us three couples in our own private class!!! She showed us this funny video about what Bill Cosby has to say about Child Birth-----

Centerville, Indiana

This weekend was a wonderful weekend. I got to go to Indiana to be with family and old friends. Mom and Aunt Connie put together a baby shower brunch. It was a "Book Shower"--everyone brought their favorite children's book and wrote their words of wisdom on the inside cover of the book. There were people of all ages at the shower--so, it was fun and interesting to get so many different pieces of advice. I really liked this idea-- someone said to video tape all the Great Grandparents and Grandparents reading a book--that way your kids will have that to treasure in the years to come. The table was set up so pretty!
Delicious Sweet treats! Look at these cookies that my Mom made--sweet little baby hands!
Me and my cousin Brittany
Mom making cinnamon muffins as the "party favors"
Happy 60th Birthday AUNT CONNIE!! We got to celebrate Aunt Connie's bday with a pizza party at Grandma Rhodes' house on Friday night!!!

He Paid a Debt He Did Not Owe

"He paid a debt He did not owe,
I owed a debt I could not pay.
I needed someone
to wash my sins away.
And now I sing a brand new song
"Amazing Grace" all day long.
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay!"

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
We had a great Easter! We celebrated early with my Dad and Grandma about 2 weeks ago-- then got to be with Mom & Cappie on Wednesday. This weekend we went to Chattanooga on Saturday to hang out with Lana, Ben, and the Larson's to celebrate Lana's 30th BIRTHDAY!! She turned 30 today--on Easter!!! Today I was lucky to get off of work early and we were able to meet Brandon's family at their church for the Easter service--then we headed to the Crim's to have an Easter feast with his whole family. Listen to the menu--(it was so good--it makes me FULL just typing it all out!!): Ham, green beans, creamed corn, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, orange salad, rolls, and for dessert--coconut cake!!!

Ben and Brandon at a baby store in Chattanooga trying on diaper bags!!! ha ha!

You just can't help but smile when you see something like this when you are driving!!! We passed this guy and his golden retriever out on a Sunday drive while we were headed to church-the sun was out-they had the top down-the wind was blowing through their hair... the dog was so happy and just living it up! Movies...

A cold, rainy, winter weekend-- never a better time for watching a movie. I love movies. I get totally sucked in. There are so many good ones. Brandon and I watched "Once"-- it is so good. It is short and sweet--not action packed but, devoted to character development. It has a WONDERFUL soundtrack-- we saw this movie for the 1st time about a year ago and I still listen to the songs all the time--they are all from the heart. If you click to the bottom of this blog you can hear one of the songs called "Falling Slowly". If you haven't seen it-- You should (at first it is a little hard to understand their thick accents--but you catch on-- try to excuse all the cussing!!)
I wanted to make a "TOP TEN" list of my all time favorite movies--but, I couldn't narrow it down-- So-- I had to do 20!!!!

This is the picture that shows the gender!!!
This is a little hard to see--but it is so sweet--it is the two little feet crossed--the bottom of the right one and the side of the left.

A New Decade

(Megan, Lana, Sarah, Becky, and Kriya)
On Friday I entered a new decade of my life-- I turned 30!!!! Brandon has a couple of months on me--he turned 30 back in November!! I am very excited about ALL the adventures that our 30's are going to bring!!! I didn't want to do anything big--but, Kriya turns 30 on March 2nd--so, we met with some friends at Taqueria Del Sol to celebrate the turning of a page!!! I love Taqueria Del Sol www.taqueriadelsol.com SO MUCH--- I love their fish taco's even more than I love veggie burgers at Houston's!! If you have never had a fish taco before it might not sound that appetizing--but don't judge until you try-- and don't just try one anywhere--you have to get one here!!!! If you are ever making a trip to IKEA you have to try Taqueria-- it isn't too far.
The Guys
Ben, Beau, Brandon, Christian, Ed
What's so funny Christian???
Lana and Ben came in for the weekend from Chattanooga--it was so nice to have them here. Lana is expecting a little on on August 31st!!! (exactly 1 month after me!!) Brooke and Andrew drove over for the day with their little girl Jordan--Brooke is expecting #2 in May!! We couldn't resist taking a corny pictures of the 3 pregnant girls!!My sweet Mom had to be out of town this weekend--so she came up and stayed with us for 2 days last week to celebrate her daughter turning 30!!!! Every year she brings me a big arrangement of my favorite flowers--white gladiolas.
