Christmas Celebrations

We got to have all of the Christmas celebrations at our place this year. Dad and Grandma came over on Christmas Eve afternoon/evening. It was one year ago on Christmas Eve that we told them that we were expecting little Milla!!!!!
We went to Christmas Eve candlelight service with out friends Adrienne, Derrick, and little Elise. Luckily there were seats available in the very back of the church and we were able to keep Elise and Milla happy and occupied during the service!!

Brandon, Milla, and Hank on Christmas Morning!

I loved the sweet way that Brandon wrapped the gift he gave me.
He traced Milla's hand.
Brandon's family came over for lunch on Christmas at noon.
me, Brandon, Mr. Crim, Mrs. Crim, Grandmother, Grandaddy, Kelli, (Kelli's boyfriend Brian, and Cousin Linda were there too--Brian was taking the picture and only Linda's hand made it in!)
Mom had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day--but, she had a 20 hour layover in Ashville--so, Cappie flew on her flight and they got to have a festive dinner at the Grove Park Inn. We celebrated Christmas with them on Sunday night.

Have you ever tried this?? Mom made an aluminum foil bikini for the turkey-- as it browns in the oven it gets tan lines!!!!

Nursing School Friends

It was great to get to see some of my MCG Nursing School friends. Rebecca has taken a break from the exciting, fast paced world of "traveling nursing"....(she has been SO MANY neat places) and is working just outside of Atl. in the OR, Chanler is still working in the Pediatric Cardiac Step down Unit, and Lauren still works in the NICU. We visited Rebecca at her pretty, new townhouse in Vinings/Smyrna

The Stache

Brandon grew a beard at Thanksgiving and wore it through December. One night he decided to shave it and leave just a mustache and the side burns. He just walked out into the living room and didn't say anything. When I turned around and saw him I could not stop laughing-- It was Hilarious!!!!

Bass Pro Shop

Some people have the tradition of heading to the famous Santa at Phipps or over to Lenox to the Pink Pig... but, where did we take our sweet baby GIRL for her first picture with Santa???....BASS PRO SHOP!!!! We had no idea that you had to actually pay money (some places up to $25 just to sit on Santa's lap--and that doesn't even include the pictures you buy!!!)So, Brandon heard that Bass Pro had a FREE Santa and we liked the sound of that! We went to check it out and were very happy with this Santa!! Milla had FUN!

Christmas Dinner with our Small Group at Audrey and Ben's last night-- It was so fun and easy. We all brought our own meat to grill and then everyone brought a side dish or dessert and it made for a delicious meal!

Christmas Parties and Babysitters

Our awesome neighbors LeeAnne and Ashlee were so nice to come over and stay with Milla while Brandon and I went to my office Christmas party. They took good care of her! As we walked out the door little Ashlee said "there's nothing to worry about Miss Megan"!!

Dr. Harbaugh was brave enough to open up his home and host the 2009 CMG Christmas party! They have a beautiful house! We had food catered from Maggiano's and a DJ! Everyone always lets loose at CMG parties and has a blast on the dance floor!! So much Fun!! Although, we left early this year to get home to the baby girl we still had a great time!
Nan (our boss), Maressa, Elizabeth, Cassie, Denise, Elizabeth,
Christina, and me

As we toured the pretty house (with permission!!), Donna and Susan posed in the bathtub of the enormous bathroom!!!

Stephanie (that I work with) was kind enough (after a long day of work) to come over and stay with Milla while we went to Brandon's Office Christmas party
Brandon with some of his coworker friends--- James and Gil

Brandon's boss Leigh and his wife Judy so graciously open their doors year after year to host the Roberts Commercial Party-- they do a great job and have fabulous food every year!

High School Friends

Allison, Becky, Mrs. Davis, and Mrs. Dockter were so nice to host a little get together with some friends from High School along with their Moms and babies. It was so Fun to get to catch up! How neat that we have been able to stay in touch after all these years!!
Here is the pretty table they set up...

Cousins

We got to have dinner with Brandon's cousin Clay, his wife Laura, and their sweet boys Robert & Charles at Brandon's parents house. They kept Milla entertained (along with all of us!!)

Mr. Crim held Milla as the boys serenaded her!!! SO SWEET!

Terrific Thanksgiving,Looking Forward to Christmas

We started off the Thanksgiving holiday with a "pitch in" Thanksgiving meal at Chase & Tiffany's with our small group

We drove over to Brandon's Grandparent's house in Plainville, Ga for lunch at noon on Thanksgiving day. Here is a picture of the family gathered around
as Mr. Crim carved the turkey
Then, we drove down to visit my Dad and Grandma in Cartersville.
Here is Milla with Grandad Dunnington
My Mom had to work on Thanksgiving day-- flying everyone to be together with their families. We got to celebrate with her on Sunday. Isn't our little turkey funny!! It was plenty and we had leftovers for 2 days!! After we ate Mom watched Milla and let Brandon and I go out to see "The Blind Side"...it was really good!
We turned the page of Thanksgiving-- and now we are on to Christmas--
went with Derrick, Adrienne, & Elise to Kinsey Family Christmas Tree Farm
If you are looking for a good Christmas Tree farm to go to--I would recommend this one- they had great trees, pretty wreaths, hot chocolate, cream cheese filled soft pretzels with cinnamon and sugar on them!!, campfires to make smores, and tractor rides.
