Up in the Air

Brandon wanted "an adventure" for his 30th Birthday...so, I got him a gift certificate to go Hang Gliding. He has tried to go 3 times..but it had to be cancelled due to the weather--and of course you don't want to take any chances with the weather when you are up in the air in a glider at the mercy of the wind! Well, the gift certificate was only good for 2 years and would expire this November--so, we had to get to Chattanooga to make it happen.

The Hang Gliding company is located on Lookout Mountain
http://www.hangglide.com/
There are different ways to take off when hang gliding--- some people run off of this ramp at the top of the mountain!!!

The hang gliders ready for flight

Brandon got to take off by being pulled up by a plane to 4300 feet and then released!!!!

This is a picture of Brandon's glider (yellow and white) being pulled with a rope by the plane!

Beautiful Views!!

Milla, Hank, and I got to watch all the excitement from the field!

An added bonus to our trip was that we got to stay with Lana, Ben, and Samuel.
This is a picture of us trying to teach Samuel and Milla "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands"

Even if they aren't clapping...I think they are HAPPY...and they know it!!!

Will's Fire Truck Party

The Inman's house was THE PLACE TO BE in Dunwoody today! Cars lined the neighborhood roads as we pulled in to Will's 3rd Birthday "Fire Truck Party"!! Here is a picture of the Birthday Boy about to blow out the candles on his cake with fire trucks, ambulances, and helicopters!

The fire truck was the main event! The kids got to climb on the truck, look around, and even take a ride around the block!! The truck was called "Red Hot Fire Truck" http://www.redhotfiretruckevents.com/ .

After investigating the fire truck---they pulled out a big fire hose and sprayed it in the yard while the kids played and played.

The grand finale was a fire truck pinata...it was a tough pinata...everyone got a turn to swing!

Bachelorette Party for the Bride to Be

Kelli and Brian are counting down the days...their wedding is in 1 week!!! I got to join Kelli and some of her girlfriends on a weekend trip to Seaside, Florida. (It was my first time being away from Milla over night!..I missed her like crazy..but, she and Brandon had a WONDERFUL time together!)

Kelli wore all white and the 8 other girls wore all black. (I don't have any group pictures on my camera because I was taking a bunch on Kelli's camera) We got to hit two local favorites for dinner. Friday night was my favorite meal at "The Red Bar" http://www.theredbar.com/ . Then, we had another great meal and a fun time with music on the porch at "Bud & Alley's" http://www.budandalleys.com/ .

This is the INCREDIBLE house that we got to stay in!!! It was right by the beach!!!! We lucked out because prices dropped after Labor day and we were splitting it by 9 girls!! WOW!! A great website to find rental properties is: "Vacation Rentals By Owner" http://www.vrbo.com/

On the Road

Milla and I jumped on the invitation from Anne and Elizabeth to join them for a quick trip to St. Simmons!! St. Simmons is such a neat beach---the beach is so BIG-- there is a lot of room--Milla wanted to crawl on each square inch..FREEDOM!! I also love that you can bring your dogs on the beach!

Milla and Elizabeth playing in the sand. Elizabeth was so cute in her sweet little blue and white bubble bathing suit with her white sunglasses!!

Milla is so good at standing--she gets really proud of herself when she gets up..it is hilarious! She has taken about 4 steps..just on the verge of being able to walk around everywhere!!

We got to go to Chattanooga to celebrate SAMUEL's first birthday with the Peppers!!!

The whole party was decked out with a "Monkey" theme!!!
Monkey Cake-
Monkey Cupcakes-

Monkey's hanging from the ceiling!!

Samuel pondering about how he wants to dig in...
Party on the Porch of Lana & Ben's beautiful, new craftsman style bungalow!
