Three Quarters of a Year

Faith is 9 MONTHS OLD!!!
Easy-going, kind hearted little Faith is three quarters of a year old!  She is so happy and flexible.  At her 9 month check up her stats were:
weight: 18#1oz and height: 28 1/8 inches
CONGRATS to Blakeley and Will (and big sister Mia)... their twin boys were born 5-30-12....WELCOME  "Samuel Avery Clark" and "Jackson Avery Clark"....They came in for their first visit at the Pediatrician's office while I was at work today and I got to be their nurse!!! AMAZING!
Milla always gravitates to Brandon's guitar-- she wants him to play it all the time and she sings and dances!
Faith stays nearby and keeps a close eye on her big sister-- Faith is go go go-- she isn't officially crawling yet--but, she can get across the room with the fastest army crawl (on her belly) you have ever seen!
Hank is one of a kind! What a good sport
pretty lacecap hydraneas in our neighbors yard!
Milla eating raspberries!
As Allison awaits the arrival of her 2nd Baby Girl we got to celebrate and honor her with a little "sprinkle" at her sister Meredith's house.  Here is a group shot-- Susan, Meredith,Allison, Caroline, Dottie, Katherine, Brittany and me
pretty cake and snack table
fun drinks
iced sugar cookies and champagne to go
The Hershey's came over for dinner-- Elise and Milla wanted to take a ride on their Dad's shoulders...Milla couldn't figure out how to hold on and let Brandon be able to see at the same time!
Baby Annie and Baby Faith got to take a walk in the baby bjorns!

Memorial Day Weekend

The Pulfreys came to visit from Nashville for Memorial Day Weekend.

Brandon and Alan were college roommates at Auburn.
These college boys are now Great Dads!

Faith's hair is growing quickly--her bangs seem to be growing faster than the rest of her hair--so she has this lovely long lock of hair that has a slight curl to it that often falls in her eyes-- we try to keep it back with a bow- but she loves to promptly pull the bow out as soon as we get it in!  We have debated cutting this pesky little piece--but can't bring ourselves to cut that sweet baby hair! In this picture it is kind of twisted back-- but it usually tends to fall right in her line of vision!

Milla went over to take a dip in the pool with Elise.
Had to get a picture of a VETERAN on MEMORIAL DAY... here is our sweet next door neighbor Bill!  He is unbelievable---- he turns 92 years old this month and was our riding his 4 wheeler to his garden when I took this picture!!! He is living his life to the fullest!
We wanted to get our toes in the sand.....couldn't head to the Pacific, Atlantic or even the Gulf----so, we made a trip to "Sunset Cove" at Lake Lanier.  Friends gave us the tip that you don't have to pay the admission cost for Lake Lanier Islands to get in-- you just pay $10 per car to get in the gate and that gives you access to the beach.  It was the place to be---packed-- we had a fun time!
Milla "driving" the truck in the driveway!

Caterpillars Sting?

*Milla and Ashlee giving Faith a Bath in the Kitchen Sink*
We have sweet neighbors--8 year old twins (Ashlee and Evan)... Milla adores them-- and they love to play with her!  Ashlee has been a big help with Faith too-- she wants to be a "mother's helper" (since she is not old enough to babysit--but really wants to help-- she has asked if she can come over sometimes and help with baths and bottles...etc...and learn how to someday be a babysitter!!!)
Cuddling at Bedtime!  We have settled into a night time routine--- and it takes both me and Brandon to get through all the steps of getting both of the little ladies situated!!! We eat dinner, take baths, drink milk, read one book, brush teeth, say prayers, tell a story (favorite at this time is "David and Goliath"----the request for that is "tell the one 'bout the big guy and little guy").  When Faith is tired she goes down without a peep-- her bedroom is peaceful with her sound machine that plays the tune of falling rain.  She goes down at about 7:30 or 8pm and sleeps until 7:30am.  If Milla had her way--- she would have us lay with her all night. She knows the typical trick--known by  most two year olds-- to make as many requests as she can when we are trying to say goodnight.... "I have to go to the bathroom,  I am thirsty, I am hungry, One more hug, Rock Me, Lay with me one more minute...etc!!!!)
Happy 40th Birthday Brian!!! Our Brother-in-Law Brian just turned the big 4-0!!! Kelli threw a really great backyard BBQ party to celebrate.  Everything was decorated with red and white gingham-- for centerpieces they had pretty bright flowers and mason jars filled with candles and peanuts! They served Shane's Rib Shack BBQ along with sweet tea and lemonade.  Corn Hole was set up for the adults to play-- for the kids they had bubbles, balls and Frisbees.
Brian loves chocolate and peanut butter.... so, that is the kind of cake he got!
Dale Hicks set the laid back tone of the party--- he played the guitar and sang all of the southern classic rock songs we know and love.  Dale is awesome.  The only catastrophe was that right behind Dale was the water spigot on the back of the house--- at one point he leaned back and it somehow turned on the water and it started spraying everywhere!  It was at an awkward angle--so for a few seconds we were all kind of frozen and didn't know what to do first-- thank goodness Dale was able to think quickly and turn off the water before all of his equipment got totally soaked!!
Brandon's Grandmother is an incredible quilt maker.  She made this beautiful quilt and decorated it with cross-sticking of flowers and butterflies.  When she makes something she always says that each stitch was sewn with love!
Faith is proud of her two bottom teeth.  She smiles really big---sticks her lower jaw out to really show them off-- and really giggles!
Milla singing in the rain!

I did not know that caterpillars could sting....but they do!! The girls were in the double stroller---Milla was holding a stick that had a caterpillar on it--Hank bit the stick out of her hand and the caterpillar went flying---it landed right in little Faith's lap on her bare leg--on her sweet baby skin!  At the time we didn't know it happened--but when we got home--she had the marks on her leg to prove it-- each little caterpillar leg puts out something that stings--ouch!  Not all caterpillars are vicious like this-- but beware of the ones that are fuzzy black with yellow/orange coloring!!!
