Birthdays...2 years 1 week apart

Milla and Faith are summer girls!
They were both born in August...
exactly 2 years- 1 week apart!!
We celebrated Milla turning 4 and
Faith turning 2 with a joint GYMNASTICS
party at the Dobb's Creek Gymnastics Center.
It was wonderful! They were so organized
and made it a fun and active party for all ages.

snacks and rice crispie cakes
Faith wanted a little help-- she was too interested
in her ring pop to take the time to blow out the
candles!!!  She was having a blast getting to
eat lots of sugar with her buddies!
I think one of Milla's very favorite
things in the whole world is being sung
"Happy Birthday" to!!! She lights up each
year and soaks it all in looking around at each
friend!
most of the pictures were action shots... but
loved this cute one of Will and Milla while she was
opening the bookbag he gave her!
Grandma Rhodes was in town and we
got to have a Birthday Tea Party with
her to celebrate the little ladies!
Gran Mum made an assortment
of tea party delicacies.

Delightful Day with
Great Grandma Rhodes
all the way from Centerville, Indiana
Gran Mum!
On Milla's actual birthday we
got to go swimming!
...and then we met Dad for
Ice cream... Milla loves to get
the "blue pop" flavor at Bruster's
Happy Birthday Milla!!!
On Faith's actual Birthday we went to the
Dr. for their check ups!!
Milla--- 42# and 41.88 inches tall
Faith--- 26.5# and 36.5 inches tall
Milla had to get shots and didn't even cry...
then, Faith got a finger prick and didn't cry!
We contribute that to one of their
favorite shows "Doc McStuffins"
...then we went to the pool after naps
to celebrate Faith being 2!!!!
They had GREAT Birthdays!!!

Farmapalooza 2013

Farmapalooza has become a family tradition.
Each year we meet up in Centerville, Indiana
at Westcott Place Farm where my Aunt Connie
and Uncle Bob live.  It is the farm where my
mom and her siblings grew up---and where
my Grandma Rhodes grew up.  There are
so many memories there and it is a really
special place. Aunt Connie and Uncle Bob
keep the farm looking so beautiful
and FULL of fun things to do.

"Back Home Again in Indiana,
And it seems that I can see
The gleaming candle light, still shining bright,
Through the Sycamores for me.
The new-mown hay sends all its fragrance
Through the fields I used to roam.
When I dream about the moonlight on the Wabash
Then I long for my Indiana home."
The dogs would run along all of the trails
with the golf carts and 4 wheelers....they would
run through the corn fields and then take a
dip in the little pond....
Sisters.... Mom and Aunt Connie...
in the morning sunlight they sing to the kiddos...
"good morning God, this is your day.
I am your child, show me your way"
The smile on Milla's face says it all....
she adores her big cousin KJ...she said
"Mommy-why do I love KJ so much?"
Fascinated Faith looking around and enjoying
the wind through her hair on the golf cart.
The front porch is a popular gathering
spot.  We sat out there and enjoyed each other's
company as we watched a storm roll in.
Ragan's world famous Reese Cup Cupcakes
I love the girls my cousins chose for their
wifes...Staci and Ragan!!! So much Fun!
Grandma Rhodes and Milla....
Grandma lives in a condo that sits on the
outside edge of the farm--so, her back patio
overlooks the corn fields and the wind mill.
