James Davis Rogers

JAMES "DAVIS" ROGERS

We will always remember
Brandon's Grandpa's
big smile, emotional prayers, and favorite red vest!
He celebrated his 95th Birthday on
Tuesday, November 6th and passed away on
Saturday, November 10th
He left home as a teenager and
spent his whole life as a preacher
telling people about Jesus.

*Their wedding picture*
Wonder if this is what their
reunion in heaven looked like?!

Granddaddy at 5 years old!! (Cole is almost 5)
...and he lived 90 more years!!!...

our family got the privilege of getting
to see Granddaddy a few hours before he
took his last breath
He was a very musical man....he could sing,
play the guitar and banjo...the kids got to sing
hymns at his bedside.

Brandon spoke at the funeral and told how
he learned many things from his Granddaddy...
a good work ethic, serving others,
and a love for the Lord.

Kelli spoke too and shared many memories
of growing up and fun times with
Grandmother and Granddaddy.
The 3rd speaker was "Uncle Charlie"
granddaddy's youngest brother of  8 siblings
.....he read a powerful poem that repeated
"God is still on the thrown and
He answers prayers"

Brandon was a pall bearer
