This look....
This is how Brandon’s Mom always looked
at him. So loving! So proud!
Here it is again....
She adored her baby boy!
(and her baby girl too)
From Birthday parties...
To baseball games
To wedding dances
We said goodbye to “Mimi”
Donna Elaine Rogers Crim
on Saturday, Feb 6th, 2021
Despite the restrictions Covid has placed on
things, we were able to have a service
at the church Mimi and Papa Ray have
attended for almost 50 years...
Mount Paran.
Brandon, Kelli, and Papa Ray all
spoke and did such a good job.
Brandon found a letter from the early 80’s...
It was a note his Mom had left for his
grandparents while they were babysitting
for the week. The note had things listed like:
*Brandon can wear his pj’s to drop off
Kelli at school...make sure he wears a coat
*He likes to eat oatmeal...make sure you let
It cool first
*He likes to watch Sesame Street on
Channel 13...then switch to He-Man on
46 after that :)
It was so sweet and endearing to hear how
she knew him so well and exactly how she
wanted him cared for while she was gone!
Brandon also talked about her giving rides
to half of the basketball team throughout
middle school. And, how she took a group
of boys to Destin for Spring Break in High
School and they had control of the radio...
playing Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, and
Snoop Dog all the way to Florida! He
recalled how she always showed him the
importance of prayer...a prayer before tests,
before a free throw, before pitching, and before
speaking that day.

The Music director from
Lee University brought the
“Lee Singers” to perform
the songs so worshipfully!
Such a good poem that
Corrie Ten Boom often referred to
was in the program
Beautiful casket spray
Arlington Memorial Cemetery
Cousins
Each grandchild got to place a shovel
of the dirt onto the lowered casket...
The cemetery director explained that they were
“Tucking Mimi in”
Cole wanted to watch until the very end.
The grandkids all picked a rose
From the spray to remember Mimi.

Our friends made us feel so loved....
Came to the funeral, sent cards, flowers,
calls, texts, etc....
They showered us with meals!
So nice of everyone!!!
—-Mimi will be missed—
But, what HOPE and COMFORT
We have that she is WONDERFUL!
She is in Heaven...in good hands...
with no limitations or restrictions....
