We got to celebrate in New York City!!!!
What a view to fly into!
We landed at the newly renovated
LaGuardia
We made it!!
After checking into our hotel
(Fairfield Inn close to Times Square)
we went to Rockefeller Center…saw the ice
skaters, the tree (up but not lit yet),
got NY pizza, and went to Magnolia
to get my mom a slice of one of her favorites…

You could see it from a distance and
really take it in!
October 1886 was when the
Statue of Liberty was unveiled!
It was so neat to see the pictures and
read the stories about HOW excited people
were to arrive ! There were many
tears..they were kissing the ground! The Statue
of Liberty is said to be “A TORCH OF HOPE
LIGHTING THE WAY TO POSSIBILITY”
