We got to see the fireworks
at Mt. Paron North on July 3rd

They had rides, food trucks and music
while we waited for the sun to go down so the
fireworks could start
(Hope and Milla having fun!)

Papa Ray and Mimi were happy to have
everyone at their church

The 50th Peachtree Road Race!!!
My Mom has run the Peachtree over 20 times...
so, despite her hurting knee (that she had surgery
on due to a torn meniscus about 2 years ago) she
wasn't going to miss it! She got a cortisone shot on
Monday at the Ortho and was raring to go on
Thursday to be part of the 6.2 mile celebration.
We were in the midst of the festivities and
just started the race....when her knee took a turn
for the worse and all of the sudden couldn't
bear weight!! She waved me on and said we'd
meet at the car and then started on her adventure
to get back to the car as she described it
"the best case scenario for hurting her knee"
A police man name "Hank" helped her to get
assistance....the Grady ambulance gave her ice
and a place to sit...then helped her get to a
place where the road wasn't closed that
she could catch Uber....she had a sweet
Uber driver "Eva" that prayed for her knee
and helped her into the car!
What an Adventure!!...
and that was just the beginning...
next stop was the airport for her to catch
her flight back to NC!!! From the nice
lady that pushed her in the wheelchair to the
sweet gate agent and the helpful flight attendant
she was very grateful for kindnesses
along the way!

While the girls spent all day all week at camp
Cole played with cars...

Went to see Brandon at his office and
took him to lunch downtown Roswell
(The Fickle Pickle was closed....so we went
to Big Ketch)

(after riding up a hill I told Cole he had
strong muscles....then every so often
he would stop...flex and feel his arm muscles!)

with a gift card he had gotten from a friend
for his bday!

So much fun having the Overturf Family
