Valentine's Day
"WHEN I COUNT
MY BLESSINGS
I COUNT YOU TWICE"
Gran Mum was here
Make your own pizzas
(Milla and Cole don't like cheese
on their pizza..so, Milla's is the
one with dough and sauce...
Cole spices it up a little and has
dough, sauce, and pepperoni.
Faith likes...everything...
she added peppers and mushrooms
to hers)
Milla and Faith slept in curlers!
We got to go to Asheville...
tucked away in North Carolina's
Blue Ridge Mountains.
I have a Feb Bday....and Rebekah has a
Feb Bday...Brandon and Will were talking
and they thought they would surprise us
with a fun weekend getaway!
The Biltmore was beautiful!
It was built in 1895!
(since we went the weekend after Valentine's Day
it was really popular...we got some of the
last tickets for a tour before they sold out!)
This was one of my favorite spots...
Imagining living there and sitting out on
the veranda with that view
What a dining room!
Staircase
swimming pool
succulent garden
cool cactus
in the green house
look at all of these orchids
Wine tasting after the tour
Brandon's fav was the Sangiovese.
My fav was the Pinot Grigio and
Sauvignon Blanc.
The Grove Park in was incredible too!
We got to go for brunch
The spread was amazing!!!!
Look at these crab-legs!!!
Like I said...it was a busy weekend in
Asheville...everyone celebrating Vday...
We had reservations--but, we cancelled
because I led us on a long ride to get to
a trail for a hike...but, the Blue Ridge
Parkway was closed for the winter
in that section!...so, we got off
schedule a bit. Most restaurants had
more than 2 hour waits and no reservations
available...but, we ended up scoring
someone's cancelled reservation at
"The Admiral". Then, after dinner we
went to listen to the live music and enjoy
the luxurious lobby of the Grand Bohemian Hotel.
Before we left town we waited in a line
out the door for breakfast at Biscuit Head...
Look at all the good jelly, honey, and butter
flavors!
Aunt Connie and Uncle Bob drove through
town on their way home from Florida!
*Milla*
Faith's class on the morning news
Becky and Lauren over for lunch and then
ice cream at Chill Hill!
