A Weekend Of Congratulations

CONGRATULATIONS to Elizabeth & Austin!!!!
William Henry Lineberry was born today--7#6oz!!
He came 8 days early! Elizabeth is such a trooper--she actually hosted a baby shower for Audrey just yesterday (see pictures below)!!! Brandon and I got to visit little Will today at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville--it is so nice!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Chad & Lauren Tuck!!!
Chad went to Auburn with Brandon. We got to go to their wedding last night in Chattanooga. It was awesome--the ceremony was at a beautiful, historic chapel "Patton Chapel" on the UTC Campus and the reception was at the "Hunter Museum of Art" right on the river--really neat!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Ben & Lana-- they sold their house in Chattanooga and just moved in to a cute rental that we got to see. They are getting their nursery all set for their baby boy due at the end of August. Lana is an artist and is painting a really cool tree mural on the wall.

CONGRATULATIONS to Audrey and little baby boy "Asher" that she and Ben are expecting. Got to go to a Saturday brunch shower for her. She is displaying her scrumptious plate of blueberry pancakes, fruit, green chili quiche, chicken salad croissant, and petite four.

Fun Visits

Friday Night we had a pizza party at Derrick & Adrienne's pool. Little Elise showed off her water skills! She loved it! It felt so good to be in the pool! Someone told me that when you are pregnant being in the pool is so good for you and gives your body such a break from all the extra weight it is carrying around-- 1 hr in the pool=2 hrs of laying down with your feet up!!!
Grandma Rhodes made a surprise visit to Georgia this weekend . Mom flew up to Indiana and then flew Grandma back. Grandma gets a lot of credit for being flexible and spontaneous--which are not typical adjectives you use to describe someone that is 87 years old! She is such a good sport!! I hope I can be like that when I am her age!!

My friend Jenny and her little boy Charlie came to visit on Saturday. Charlie loved the lake!!!

Got to eat lunch on my lunch break from work with Elizabeth and Audrey!!! We got Funny looks at the restaurant--a man came up to us and said--"is this some kind of club?"!!!! We ate at "Never Enough Thyme"-- it is SO GOOD--try it if you are ever in the John's Creek area-- http://www.neverenoughthyme.net/

Got to see Heather (my friend from high school) and meet her sweet daughter "Anna Rose"!!!

The Nursery is starting to take shape!!!!!

We got to get the nursery together this weekend!! It was so much fun-- can't believe we will be putting all of this to use in less than a month!!!! We are looking forward to it-- if she comes tomorrow that would be WONDERFUL!!! Really excited about meeting her!!! In this picture you can see the chair that my Grandma Dunnington rocked me in 30 years ago--that she gave to us-- we just had it recovered and it made a wonderful addition to the nursery!!

Brandon refinished this credenza to work as the changing table-- put fresh paint, new knobs, and lifted it up on little legs-- he did SUCH a good job!!! Who says you can't have a chandilier in the basement? One of the sweet ladies that I work with, Tracy gave us that!!!!

Aunt Connie (in Indiana) framed this print we had of Jesus and a lamb. She used wood from an old barn at the family farm where my Mom and my Grandma Rhodes grew up.

Crim Baby Shower

Kelli and some of the Crim's friends from Church were really kind to host a baby shower for Brandon and me!! It was beautiful lunch on June 27th.

Dainty and Delightful meal-- chicken salad croissant, pasta salad, cheese straws, veggies, fruit parfait with a whipped topping, and Italian wedding cake for dessert.

Fine Dining, Triathlons, and Midtown

Robbie & Elizabeth hosted a tasty cookout on June 26th-- the meal included pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, Asian coleslaw, green bean casserole, and rolls. Yum! Elizabeth went all out and had such a pretty table set with fresh flowers, china, and crystal!!! What a Treat!!!

Go Kriya, Go Kriya!!!!! Kriya did a Triathlon at Lake Lanier on June 28th-- She did awesome! I got to cheer her on with Beau and Wade!! Kriya even ran over to the side in the middle of the run to give Wade a kiss!!! Way to go!!!

Happy 30th Birthday Jill!!!!

Jill is a 4th of July baby-- so we celebrate on Thursday (the 2nd) a couple days early. Her husband Jonathan surprised her with a limo and it took all the girls down to "Shout" in midtown for a night of drinks and fun tapas on the rooftop. FUN!!! http://www.heretoserverestaurants.com/

Shower at Children's Medical Group

My sweet co-worker friends threw us a Baby Shower at lunch time on June 23rd!!!! It was so nice!! Tanya (who works in the business department) is famous around CMG for her cake making skills-- she made this DELICIOUS cake and decorated it herself !!!!! It was AWESOME!

They even made the waiting room of our office look so cute!!
5 of us have been pregnant at work together this summer!! Pattie just had little Anna in June--she passed the torch to me for July-- then, Breana will have a little girl "Addyson Marie" in August--then pass the torch to Sara to have "Sullivan Henry" in September. Lana & Ben are having a BABY BOY (name still undecided) at the end of August!!! We got to have a shower for Lana at my Mom's house on June 20th. Can't wait till the little guy gets here!!

SURPRISE BECKY!!! Christian and Kim (Christian's Sister) threw a Surprise 30th birthday party for Becky on Friday night at a cute little coffee shop called "Metanoya Cafe". It was so much fun because Becky was totally surprised!!!

Brandon and I have been searching for a chair for the nursery. My Grandma gave us this chair and ottoman this past weekend!! It is so sweet and sentimental. Grandma bought it 30 years ago when I was born so that they would have a chair to rock me in as a baby!!! We are getting it recovered and it will be the perfect addition for the nursery!!! Yay!!! Thanks Dad and Grandma!

How Time Flies!!!

Wednesday I got to get together with some friends I have had since middle school!!! It seems like just yesterday we were getting our driver's licences, going to prom, spring break, college, etc... now everyone has BABIES!!!!! Time goes by so fast!!! It was so much fun to catch up and to watch all of the sweet babies interact!!!!
